Possibly one of the most revered and personally, beloved comics of all time is Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series. It combines the greatest aspects of a graphic novel into an epic prose that leaves a lasting imprint on those wise enough to venture into that world.

In lieu of the previous review being a Marvel comic, I’d want to follow things up with another Marvel series that fits itself into more contemporary times. Power and responsibility: Ultimate Spiderman is one of the modernized classic all-time favorites of the Marvel arts.

Welcome back to part 2 of my Earth X Review. Today, we have a breakdown of the themes, plots and some characters of this series — I admit, it’s a bit too heavy to be extensive about it in one post but I’ll stick to the basics, just enough for you to know that this is not your typical run-off-the-mill graphic novel.

Earth X is graphic novel that propels the Marvel Universe 20 years into the future as perceived by its writer Alex Ross. Heroes and villains alike now have to fight a changing world — where everyone is now a mutant, it is they who have to retain their humanity.
